What is so unique about this sighting is that the nest was at eye level; you could reach out and touch the hummingbird nest if you wanted. The nest is located in a Solanum Jasimoides tree for sale in a 24" box at a retail store in they're Garden Center in Brentwood, CA. One of the employees showed me the nest, there was no mama siting in the nest, but the employee assured me there was babies in the nest. I tryed to stand over the nest to look inside, as soon as I did that, mama came flying down so fast. She scared me. Everyday after that I would take a walk over to the nest to see how much they have grown. They grow so fast. It became the talk of the Garden Center. We would ask each other if we saw the mama or anyone seen the babies today. Mama was gone everytime I would go check out the nest, so I thought mama had abandon the nest, she was just out getting food for her and the babies. There was a male and a female baby. The Male took off first, then two days later the female was gone. That was
