Our tulips are emerging here in Broomfield, Colorado. We found that some of our tulips had been covered with too much mulch this winter. We have had strongs winds which might of shifted a bit of the mulch. It has also been extremely dry in our city this winter. When we walked around and took off some of the mulch, we discovered even more tulips that had begun to emerge. The ones that were completely buried in mulch, looked yellow and pale in comparision to the ones which had just the right amound of mulch over them. We are going to see if they green up in the next few days!
