Our first significant warm spell. Some other birds singing include Northern Cardinal, Black-capped Chickadee, Mourning Dove, Purple Finch, American Goldfinch, White-breasted Nuthatch and European Starling. Territorial Woodpeckers calling and drumming include Pileated, Hairy and Downy. Other birds courting include Sharp-tailed Grouse, Common Raven, American Crow, Mallard, Common Goldeneye and Common Merganser. Some Owls, like Great-horned, Barred, Saw-whet and Long-eared are now calling.
