Saw two monarchs fluttering together (trying to mate?). Had seen a single monarch earlier in the week also. Can't tell if it is a local monarch that overwinters in this area or if it migrated from the south. Couldn't get a good look at it to see what sort of shape it was in. With the very warm weather we are having I expect to see a lot more butterflies starting this week. The milkweed is growing bigger everyday...ready for them.
