Monarch Adult Sighted

Date: 03/11/2006

Number: 1

Bull Island, Cape Romain National Wildlife Refuge, 1 female monarch at 9:30 am and again at 12 noon. I believe it was the same individual, faded but not tattered. She was nectaring on the only thing in bloom, a patch of one of the hop clovers.
We were going to head inland tomorrow but now may just head north along the coast for another day as far as Myrtle Beach to see if we can find more monarchs.
