Earthworm (FIRST sighted)

We had a unusually warm weekend here with temperatures in upper 50's to low 60's
I was cleaning up the perennial beds and pulling up some old annuals. Approximately 2cm below the surface were small earthworms. They were only in the south facing beds, were the ground seemed much warmer and softer.
