Monarch (OTHER Observations)

Date: 03/18/2006

Number: 1

My milkweed has been almost eaten up because of the winter cats. I have little shoots out and am having to pick off the eggs otherwise I'll have not enough for the ones that get passed me. I have had at least 6 to 10 in my cages since Dec. off and on. I planted seeds everywhere and they are coming up good but be a while before they are ready for the Monarchs. If I can find a place to buy a few plants I'll get them and hopefully they won't have something on the leaves that will make the cats die. That happened to me once when I bought some plants from a nursery. Probably had been sprayed or got a drift from them spraying other plants.
