I was out cleaning up the garden about thirty minutes before sunset, and I was totally-surrounded by robinsong! It seemed to be coming from every direction imaginable. (This was also interspersed with robins calling and flying back-and-forth, but it was their 'surround sound' singing which delighted me the most!) It was impossible to say how many there were in this chorus, as the light was fading fast. Certainly, though, this was the highest number of individual/first wave of robins I'd witnessed so far this year.
