Hummingbird, Rufous (FIRST)

Date: 03/18/2006

Number: 1

Uh-Oh! I think we might have troubles. A male Rufous showed up at our hummer
feeder this morning around 7:30am. We've been told that Mr. Rufous can be
very territorial and has a rather aggressive habit of staking claims on
feeders, thus making it difficult for resident Anna's to get their fair
share of sweetened swigs. We've been nurturing a pair of loyal Anna's
through the winter months and would hate to see our little cuties vacate the
back yard now just because a bully moved into the neighborhood.
