Robin (WAVE seen)

Date: 03/18/2006

Number: 1

it was a chilly day saturday - around 38 degrees but sunny and i was thrilled to see a tree full of male robins in my neighborhood. there were probably at least a dozen chirping, singing, and flying around -trying to keep warm. the weather has been cold and a bit below normal this past week. low temps in the teens, daytime highs barely at 40 degrees. the ground is still frozen so no worms available yet. winter has been very dry ,cold and harsh. a rainy january produced a thaw we didn't expect.
