Finally had our first male RUFOUS HUMMINGBIRD on the 13th. Jim heard one briefly on the 11th, but yesterday's bird appears to be visiting the feeders and finally sticking around. This is late for us by about a week. I echo Don's sentiment- simply spectacular! As if an incredibly brilliant flower materialized in the air in front of me.
