Woke up to the racket of massive flocks of starlings landing in the trees this morning. With recent warm temperatures the buds have started to form on various trees, and the willows have turned very yellow. Also turning more yellow are the goldfinches.

Heard a robin "chuckle" this morning - but no song - could not locate it in the bushes across the road. There has been a nesting pair in the honeysuckles for the past several years.
