This is the latest that my tulips have ever emerged. It doesn't seem to make sense to me, since our temperatures have been normal to above normal. The climatologists say that we have had above average amounts of snow. However, the snow did not stay on the ground for long. Since snow is an insulator, maybe the ground was colder, longer.
