Tree swallows have returned to the community garden. 3-4 pairs are viing with bluebirds for space in the bluebird boxes around the garden. Killdeer are feeding in the surrounding hay fields and calling loud and often among the many robins also feeding there. Phoebes have been sighted in the area for the past week or so, also. Ducks (common merganzer, ring-necked duck, bufflehead, mallard, balck duck) are paired up on the ponds and lakes, along with the Canada geese and swans. Peepers and other frogs continue to entertain with their songs.
