Well, I had heard reports of robins in our area for some time now, but I FINALLY saw MY FIRST for the Spring on Saturday, March 25th.

It has been a gorgeous weekend, and as I was outside cleaning my back yard a bit, listening to the finches. Then at about 4:30 I heard the unmistakable call of a robin. (While unmistakable, I still have problems with identifying with certainty that first one every year!) But I saw him a few doors down in a neighbour's tree.

Lovely sight, wonderful song! It puts me in a GREAT spirit every year - that first robin of Spring!
