The first female monarch visited my backyard garden today (4-1-06) about 5:00 Central time. She was definitely looking for milkweed but mine has not emerged yet. The milkweed has barely broken the soil line. By the time I got some tropical milkweed out of storage room, she was gone. I left the milkweed outside in hopes she will return.
