After a terrific spring week, signs of spring are all over. The Nanking cherries (the birds love them)have begun to bloom,most shrubs are beginning to leaf out, the sunflowers seeds under the feeders are sprouting, lawn service trucks are all over and the wretched sound of leaf blowers fill the air(have people forgotten how to rake?)Small black and yellow butterflies were sighted, a water strider skated on my pond. The forsythia are blooming and the early purple azalea too. In the distance I am sure I heard an ice cream truck!
