Good
morning from spring in Juneau!

I have seen two hummingbirds on my way to work, two days in a row (3/21
and 3/22 at 7:30 a.m.)

Early

The
little guys darted in front of my car into the woods next to our house
and down the driveway where I work. I didn't have time to get a good look
at them other than it was clear they were hummingbirds.

It was about 34 degrees in the valley and 50 degrees F downtown at 8:00
a.m.! I saw both hummingbirds in the valley. (I can't recall if there
was any wind.)

I haven't noticed any hummingbird feeders up, but the Canada geese are
back in large numers. They seem to show up when hummingbirds do. I also
had a couple of purple crocus coming up in my garden about that time .
. . through the snow! I can't recall whether it was windy.

I notice birds every day; it's hard not to here! I'm not a professional,
just interested. This is the first I've reported to Journey North.
