Tulips EMERGED

Date: 03/13/2006

Number: 1

The tulips emerged in early March after a week of 60F warm weather. Nineteen of the twenty bulbs planted have emerged. The plants stayed small with little growth for 2 weeks as temperatures plunged back to the 40'sF. The tulip plants are now between 4 and 6 inches high after a week of warm weather. The temperature has plunged back to the 40's farenheit. All the surrounding gardens against the brick wall of the school show more advanced growth. Many of the tulips and daffodils have already bloomed due to the soil heating up faster closer to the building.
