I was just hanging around the house and I noticed 3 Palamedes Swallowtails and 1 very fresh Giant Swallowtail. Several Cloudless Sulfrus and 1 worn Monarch.
It would be hard to tell what would be the 1st Monarch sighting as they consistently over winter here and I usually will see one aone many warm days during December-February. Also we have a number of species of milkweeds in the area mostly in Long-leaf Pine Woods and swamps. We usually have plants of tropical milkweed planted in the gardens.
