As of yesterday, April 5), Monarchs were still in Baton Rouge, LA (I had 2 in my garden). Also, this past weekend I drove to Covington and Amite, LA--both 70-80 miles east of Baton Rouge. During the trip I encountered several monarchs along the roadside (I-12). Most individuals appeared to be pale and worn. I haven't seen any immatures.
