Our tulips are 'vertically challenged'as well. We have 3 schools in the east and north part of Lawrence, KS. Landscapers covered up one garden plot! At another, the tulips on the east side of the sidewalk bloomed before the west. Broken Arrow tulip bed in front of the sign ~all~ bloomed and we will attach a picture.

FYI Last year in Atchison, Kansas, 50 miles north, we planted the same tulips and they bloomed again this year.
