Monarch Egg (FIRST sighted)

Date: 04/06/2006

Number: 1

Found seven sprouts from plants I had originally marked last year and tried to keep going for the fall migration. On four of the seven, I counted between eight and eleven eggs laid. We have never seen Monarchs this early, ever; but have seen evidence of Queen butterflies in early summer in the past two years. Keeping a very watchful eye on "my babies."
