Monarch Adult (FIRST sighted)

Date: 04/07/2006

Number: 1

Today, I saw our first few monarchs in the flower gardens here in the panhandle. Lubbock is not on the main flyway and the milkweed is not up yet. Are they moving elsewhere and the over 50 mph winds of yesterday blowing them into the area? The passion flowers are up and ready for the heliconians. Anyone seeing them further south in Texas?
Cheers for spring in Lubbock
