I had pretty much given up that the the Monarch I spotted in our neighborhood 4 days ago was either a male or had already moved on without finding my milkweed. But late this afternoon, I spotted her in my garden nectaring on coreopsis! When I checked the milkweed, I found eggs. A litte later I observed her laying more eggs! (Since I first planted milkweed 7 years ago, this is only the 3rd year I've had eggs in the spring.)
