I have also seen 1-2 monarchs each day at my workplace (Ft. Johnson on Charleston Harbor) for the past week (April 1)or so.

I've seen monarchs nectaring on yaupon holly (Ilex vomitoria) and southern dewberry (Rubus trivialis). I've also seen some, as I do in the fall migration, apparently taking moisture from damp salt marsh mud!
