Monarch Egg (FIRST sighted)

Date: 04/12/2006

Number: 1

We have had many relatively fresh looking Monarchs flying here since April 7. On the 10th, we noticed Common Milkweed sprouts, and today, we found female Monarchs laying eggs on both the Common Milkweed and Swamp Milkweed. Further investigation revealed eggs on many of the young plants.
