We had one tulip bloomming on 3/31 and now (4/6/06) they have all bloomed 16 out of 25 planted by room 5 and about 25 of the other 75 planted by rooms 6,7 and 3. Rooms 3 and 5 are piloting an arts integration unit called Art in The Garden and we have done close ups in the style of O'Keefe and landscapes like Monet. We will be using flowers for very textured paintings like Van Gogh. We are connecting these art experiences to science lessons onthe functions of plant parts and journal writing documenting our experiences.
