Approximate date of our first catepillars this year. We are now on our 3rd round of monarch catepillars on our milkweed plants. We only had about 2 catepillars last year. This year, we had 10 to 15 in Feb., then adults, then eggs into 10 catepillars again and now another round of adults with them laying eggs and we saw our first catepillar today. We have actually watched the adults land on the leaves, and when lay fly away we see an egg. it's amazing.
