Monarch Adult (FIRST sighted)

Date: 04/15/2006

Number: 1

April 15, Poolesville, MD

Spotted a monarch flying west toward the Potomac River. Monarchs generally use the Potomac River/ C&O Canal Towpath as a migratory corridor in spring. I normally see them during the last week of April so this one was a bit early.
