Sighted my first Kansas City Monarch at 11:00 today. Female and somewhat faded but very intent on locating all of my milkweeds. So far she has found the Sullivanti and Fasicularis. Swap Milkweed is just beginning to break ground and Tuberosa is close to starting. I've counted over two dozen of her eggs and she is still patrolling the garden.
I do have three flats of Curassavica which I have planned for next week to put one into pots and the other two into my Curasavica seed beds. She fooled me!! I thought I was going to be ready for some early Monarchs.!!
