Bald Eagle

Date: 04/15/2006

Number: 1

I was riding with my son and spotted a bird soaring in a loose circular pattern. After a second or so I recognized it as a Bald Eagle! Seemed a little smaller than I'd seen so I am guessing it was a younger bird. Couldn't miss the white head and tail. Was certainly very excited and pursued the bird on Middle Rd (on the bike) for about 1/2 a mile towards Dover Pt. Rd. at which point it went behind some trees. Was a real treat as my son is only two but managed to see his first Bald Eagle! My other recent sightings was last year at Moose Pond, ME.
