My two fishing partners and I were really surprised to see a very large group pf Pelicans circling over the Arkansas River very near to the lake we were fishing. We estimated apx 40 of them in this group. I don't recall EVER seeing Pelicans in this area during April. They were fascinating to watch with their synchronized flying.
