Our tulip bulbs have fought a brave fight with spring weather this year. Just when we hoped the tulips would bloom, we'd have a cold snap or a light snow. Still, we had tulips blooming three blossoms)on Monday when we returned to school after the Easter weekend. One small plant has braved the cold to be the first to bloom. Several plants have looked puny, and are just now starting to show growth and the reddening of the bud.Three days after the first bloom we should see the other plants opening up, because the days are finally getting warmer.
