I am reporting my early Monarch sighting, April 23 in Sandusky, Ohio, on the shore of Lake Erie.

This afternoon (04/23/04) I was very surprised to see a Monarch in my yard! My husband said he had seen two of them in a different part of the yard an hour or so earlier. My home is on the west side of Sandusky, Ohio, close to the shore of Sandusky Bay, which is part of Lake Erie.

As a seasonal Naturalist at a state park, I raise Monarchs from eggs and display them in my nature center.
