The goods news: I was woken up by a Robin singing, stumbled to the window and spotted this lone robin on the grass below. that was Wed, April 19 at the wee hours of 6.30am just after the sunrise. There is lots of geese here ,spring peepers have been singing since about the first. I have also heard the meadow larks.
