Spotted my first Monarchs (one very faded, one quite fresh, could not determine gender -- they were moving quite quickly) at the Washington Youth Garden Butterfly Garden at the US National Arboretum, Washington DC. Was about 3PM, weather clear, slight wind, about 75 degrees F. No clear direction of flight.
