I had been anxiously awaiting my first sighting and had just finished cleaning and putting fresh sugar water in my backyard feeders this evening and a male Ruby-throated hummingbird came and perched on the shepherd's hook that the feeder is hanging from and then fed, left and returned again. I now expect to see him several times daily as I did last year.
