All Other Signs of Spring

Date: 04/27/2006

Number: 1

After a week of sunny near 80 tempseratures,it all went east Saturday. The Maple trees and Honeysuckle are now leafing out. How about a corn encrusted nightwalker? That's what one little red hen had here after 4.5 inches of rain. She did not share. The migrants must be waiting someplace warmer. When I read about the Hummingbird at Windsor I figured they would show up here. The only new bird showing up are Cowbirds at the feeder.Plus another first for us, a Black Bear was on the back porch and took our Suet Feeder and destroyed a bird feeder. Now they come in at night and I keep my ears fine tuned when I'm outside.
