Robin (First SEEN)

Date: 04/24/2006

Number: 1

UPDATE! All of the migrants are beginning to arrive. First it was ducks (Mergansers are the only ones I could identify so far), then Sandhill Cranes, and in the last few days (beginning 4/24) reports of Robins began
coming in. People are seeing and hearing them. I heard my first one
this morning, though I haven't seen one yet.

A fourth grader, Genevieve Tymrak, reports seeing a flock of sandhill cranes larger than any she has ever seen. "Kris, I'm used to seeing big flocks, even in the hundreds, but this seemed like thousands."

So, while we are still seeing the occasional snowflake, apparently spring has arrived!
