Last summer we planted blood flower and swamp milkweed(both in the milkweed family)in our new outdoor environmental lab (garden). We can see the blood flower sprouts resurfacing there! We also have wild milkweed beginning to sprout up (about 3 - 4 inches tall), so it should be ready for the Monarchs as they arrive!
