All Other Signs of Spring

The rain has stopped this morning for a little while. I haven't checked on Mrs. WhooZitts and her Whoos yet today. Friday and Saturday, I discovered that Mr. WhooZitt keeps her company in the late afternoon. His coloring is redder and he is very flighty. On Saturday there was what appeared to be a wee white fuzzy butt protruding over the nest rim. Early on Sunday, I discovered 3 large owls - one on the edge of the nest and two on ajoining limbs. So now I'm not sure if I saw owl underwear instead of an owlet on Saturday.... Was the extra owl a nearly grown fledgling or were Mr. and Mrs. WhooZitt having tea with Auntie Whoo? It rained all day Sunday so the Spotz Squad wouldn't go for a gallop. Dalmatians hate falling water, only the boggy kind deep with nice stinky mud! Perhaps we can solve the mystery this morning. Calm Mrs. WhooZitt watches the dogs intently which allows me to observe her better.
