It is raining today. Just reporting on surroundings and observations. Species report. I have a bluebird house this is defined as a standard bluebird house without a landing post.
It has never housed a bluebird. A house wren adopted it several years ago and has returned most every year(not certain that it is the same wren.) Since, I assume that ( the birdhouse is prime real estate. It has been taken over by a chicadee this year. Then the English Sparrow (Finch) threw out the Chicadee in a fight for possession. Yesterday, the House Wren was seen checking out the Birdhouse.I will leave the nesting material in tact to see which bird prefers which nesting material.
