All Other Signs of Spring

Number: 1

Yellow rumped warbler, probably female because it was brownish on its back but with the distinctive bright yellow patch on rump was bathing in the little stream I created by my pond. Birds love this spot, it is a shallow, slow moving stream, very easy to make, about 7 feet long, ending in a very small, gentle waterfall. This is where I see most warblers passing through in the spring and fall, and during the summer it is a favorite bathing spot for all birds. It is under a red maple so they have a spot to sit and preen. Hopefully more warblers will follow
