I have heard the oriole for a few days now, high in the treetops, all around.Every year they do this, sing, but remain hidden for a few days until finally they come into the yard.He might be waiting for his "missus", they have nested in the same maple tree for 4 years now. The feeder is out, also grape jelly and oranges--the trumpet vine is starting to leaf out, this will be their favorite spot when the flowers bloom in July--they puncture the flower at its base to get to the nectar.Takes a few years to get growing well, definitely worth the wait!!
