we heard the birds first and saw two rufous hummingbirds fly by some rotting logs near our cabin in the garden. the area was being watered and may have stoped by for a drink. one was a male the other I was not sure of it's sex. both were a beautiful bright color. later that evening I saw one of them at the neighbors feeder.
