Ruby throated hummingbird showed up to the spot where I hang a window hummer feeder to look for food May 4, 2006 at 8:45AM.

He KNEW the spot for his food, though I had not replaced it with sugar water yet--like I had done for the other, large feeder placed out there in anticipation since April 21st!

Typically, these hummers show up every year for the past 12 years that I've tracked them, between May 5th and May 10th. We're up here at about 1,000 ft. elevation, 55 miles west of Boston.
