I first saw my milkweed sprouts Sunday, April 30 at about 2" or 3". I was away Friday afternoon and Saturday, so it might have sprouted then. My guess is Saturday, April 29.
From talking to people who went to Mexico in March 2006, the monarch population was phenomenal! I saw videos of it. We should see lots this year.
