The first ruby throated hummingbird was captured on March 3rd at the Prince Edward Point Bird Observatory on Prince Edward County, Ontario (also a famous site for migrating monarch butterflies) and was banded and released. ( a large peninsula on the north shore of Lake Ontario towards the east end of the Lake)
