The students at Great Meadows Middle School have been chosen to receive two national awards for their Unpave the Way project. The American Forest Foundation gave us a GreenWorks! grant and the National Gardening Association and Home Depot provided grant money as well. The first part of the garden was finished on April 21, 2006, when Mrs. Roth's Science class planted to semi-dwarf pear trees, just in time for Earth Day. The project includes native flowers, a pond, milkweed, herbs, bird houses, and shurbs.
